Democratic Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi dismissive towards the Polish victims of Auschwitz
On January 21, 2020 United States House Speaker Nancy Pelosi went to Poland to visit Auschwitz where her delegation was hosted by the speakers of both houses of the Polish parliament. Her Press Release then omit the Polish victims, although they were the first sent to Auschwitz, and constituted the second largest group killed there. Also, it was members of the Polish Underground, sent there upon arrest by the Germans that provided reports on the treatment of the prisoners to the outside world, and on the exterminating of the Jews by the German authorities.
The delegation then departed to Israel to attend a Holocaust Forum organized by Moshe Kantor, a Russian oligarch close to Vladimir Putin. Coincidentally, just prior to this event, Putin started rehashing stalinist anti-Polish propaganda that blamed Poland for starting World War II.
If you wish to voice your dissatisfaction with the speaker you may call her Washington office at 202 225-4965 or her California office at 415 556-4862. You can tell her staff what you think of the situation, or leave a message on the answering machine. Please recommend, ask or demand a change to the press release so the Poles are rightfully included as victims.
